Did your invitation get lost in the mail?  Mine did too!!!

Here’s how to celebrate and host your own Royal Wedding Party.

Invitations

A royal themed wedding party always starts with the invitation.

Formal: The invitations should be handwritten (Edwardian Scrip on Microsoft Word) on cream parchment paper.

Decorations

Although the royal wedding planning is top-secret, we all can assume the wedding will be classy and elegant.

1. Line the walls of the party area with white curtains.  Add a silver or gold tie back to the sides of the curtains.

2. Fill the area with vases that contain white flowers (you may opt to place clear diamond and pearl decoration jewels in the vases). Tie a silver or gold ribbon to the mouth of the vase to add some pizzazz.

3. Place white, silver, and gold candles and tea lights around the room.

4. Set plates, silverware, and clear glasses on a white tablecloth.  Sprinkle a few white rose petals and clear diamond and pearl table jewels on top of table-cloth. Add a centerpiece of your choosing with a few tea lights.

5.  If you want to use your finest China, go for it.  I recommend using Clear Premium Quality place settings, water glasses, champagne glasses, wine glasses,  tea cups, serving pieces, etc. (you can find this at Party City).  Make sure to have silverware (plastic silver look cutlery or sterling silver cutlery located at Party City) and cloth linen napkins.

6.  I love the idea of a red carpet for your guests to walk up towards your front door.

7. White & Blue balloons on your mailbox.

8. Royal Blue floor cushions for extra seating for guests (Available at Wal-Mart for $20)

9. Champagne bucket

10. Ice bucket and tongs

Don’t forget to add your personal touch.

Food

1. Chicken, Egg and Tuna salad sandwiches on wheat bread with no crust or on croissant.

2. Potato salad

3. Cheese and fruit tray

4. Serve champagne with strawberries.

5. A white cake with white frosting. Add colors from the theme. Cake topper of your choosing.

6. Stick with white wines to go along with your theme. It is also pairs well with chick and sea food.

7. Tea, punch, water.

Dress Code

If you are as obsessed with the royal wedding as I am,  going all out is necessary.  I’m planning on wearing a blue or white dress (Kate Middleton engagement photos) with black pumps,  a blue sapphire ring replica, and possibly wear a Kate Middleton inspired hat.

Have your guests dress the way you would like them to and mention on your invitation at the bottom right corner.

Favors

Everyone loves favors.  Give your guests a little something to show them your appreciation for coming to your party.  A couple of ideas are below.

1. Tiara

2. Cocktail ring
